What is child care fee subsidy?
The Region of Peel provides financial assistance to help families with their child care costs for children up to 12 years of age in licensed child care programs.
Subsidized care is available in centre-based, school-based and home-based child care programs in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga.
As of September 2014, children eligible for full-day kindergarten can only access a child care fee subsidy for the extended day (before-and-after school) programs, including PA days, March Break and other school holidays.
Who can apply?
Families with children up to 12 years of age who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for a child care fee subsidy.
